Changi Airport lauds new Warsaw-Singapore direct route
Singapore’s Changi Airport Group recently welcomed the inaugural flight from LOT Polish Airlines from Warsaw.
LOT flies the Warsaw-Singapore route with three-class Boeing B787-8 aircraft accommodating 252 passengers.
The service operates up to four times a week.
It marks Singapore’s first scheduled nonstop link to Central and Eastern Europe and adds to new European routes secured in the last 18 months linking the Lion City with Athens, Dusseldorf and Stockholm.
According to Changi Airport Group there were more than 258,000 passenger movements between Singapore and Central and Eastern Europe.
"We are delighted to welcome LOT’s new service which now connects us to Poland and presents growth opportunities for leisure and business travel in both regions," said Changi Airport Group’s CEO, Lee Seow Hiang.
