Singapore’s Changi Airport Group has revamped its fee structure, dropping prices across the board for airport related fees, including a reduction in Passenger Service Charge for transit travellers.

From 1 July 2015 CAG will reduce fees for transit passengers by two-thirds from S$9 to S$3, as the airport group looks to boost traffic in the face of fierce competition in Asia.

CAG will also drop landing fees for long-haul flights, aircraft parking and aerobridge charges in the wide ranging revamp.

"CAG remains committed to ensure Changi Airport’s position as a major global air hub, and seeks to grow transfer and long-haul traffic as part of this goal," a CAG statement said.

"The range of measures we announce today is a demonstration of CAG’s continued commitment and support to our partners, as we work with them to achieve success and growth of their operations at Changi Airport," said CAG chief executive Lee Seow Hiang.

The airport currently offers a 50% landing fee rebate for long haul flights which was due to end in a year will be extended for a further  12 months until March 31, 2017.

In addition, CAG will offer a 20% rebate for all flight catering and ground handling franchise fees starting next month.
