A price comparison website for the short breaks market has been developed by Cheapflights.

More than 14,000 short breaks from 125 partners to 150 destinations are featured on Cheapshortbreaks.co.uk.

The website covers city breaks, beach, countryside and mini-cruises. Users can search for deals from their local airport as the site features breaks for up to five nights from more than 30 UK departure points as well as Eurostar.

Cheapflights CEO David Soskin said: “Cheapflights has a reputation for both responding to and shaping the way British consumers shop for travel. The development of Cheapshortbreaks.co.uk is another example of catering to the needs of today’s traveller.

“People are taking more short-term breaks than ever before. The rise of low-cost airlines has inflated this trend, but free time remains the key factor when consumers choose their holidays. For many, a lack of free time is determining the choice of when and where they go. Many people are looking to go beyond Europe for short breaks, choosing destinations such as Bangkok, Cape Town and Barbados.

“The four million unique users who visit the Cheapflights family of sites each month are already using the product to find the best possible deals for breaks of up to five nights.”
