Child rescued after going overboard from Disney ship
A dramatic sea rescue took place this weekend after a child went overboard from a Disney cruise ship.
The young girl fell from the fourth deck and her father jumped over to rescue her.
The overboard alert was sounded immediately and a rescue vessel was in the water within minutes.
Father and daughter were quickly rescued and the operation took just a few minutes to complete.
The incident occurred aboard the Disney Dream which was returning to Fort Lauderdale after a four day Bahamas cruise.
The cruise line issued a statement:
“The crew aboard the Disney Dream swiftly rescued two guests from the water. We commend our crew for their exceptional skills and prompt actions, which ensured the safe return of both guests within minutes.”
