A stay in an ice hotel and a trip to view the Northern Lights have been added to Virgin Holidays’ Snow Brochure for 2004-05.

The operator’s newly launched 166-page brochure covers 28 destinations in the US, Canada and South Korea.

In addition to ski and snowboard holidays, Virgin has added “snow experiences” in Canada for next winter.

These include the Ice Hotel in Quebec, a trip to see the Northern Lights as an add-on to stays in Banff and Lake Louise, and a visit to Vancouver Island for those skiing in Whistler to experience Vancouver’s “powerful winter storms”.

New destinations include Loon Mountain in New hampshire, Beaver Creek in Colorado and Sunday River in Maine, which claims a chocie of eight mountains from one resort.

Prices start at £489 for a week’s bed and breakfast in New Hampshire including car hire from Boston. Child prices lead-in at a fixed rate of £239, with free lift passes for children in selected resorts.
