China imposes temporary flight bans on US airlines
Chinese authorities have penalised US airlines for carrying Covid-positive passengers with American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United receiving temporary flight bans.
It affects flights to Shanghai where 50 passengers have recently tested positive on arrival from the US.
Delta Air Lines’ Seattle to Shanghai route will be suspended until the end of February after multiple passengers tested positive on two flights.
American Airlines Flight AA127 will be suspended for four weeks starting January 24.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China’s policy to issue temporary flight bans when airlines bring in infected passengers has been in force for about 18 months.
It has banned dozens of airlines during this time.
