China logs on to new addiction
BEIJING – “Feeling tense and angry because you cannot get online?” asks China Daily.
If you live in China you should soon be able to get medical help, as moves are afoot for China to be the first to recognise “internet addiction disorder” as a clinical disease similar to gambling or alcohol addiction.
Staying online for more than six hours a day instead of working or studying, and reacting adversely when unable to get online have been identified as two major symptoms.
