China to boost camping tourism
China plans to escalate development of camping tourism infrastructure.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism and various other related departments issued guidelines calling for the development of profit-oriented campsites and improved campsite services.
Tourist sites, resorts and rural tourist destinations will be encouraged to set aside space for camping grounds and services.
Due to China’s Covid-zero restrictions, camping holidays and rural travel in general have soared in popularity since the outset of the pandemic.
