Chinese airlines on Airbus shopping spree
Airbus has secured a mega aircraft deal with four Chinese airlines for nearly 300 planes. It is worth a combined $37 billion at list prices.
They ordered total of 292 planes with China Eastern committing to buy 100 A320neo jets and China Southern will buy 96.
Air China and sister brand Shenzhen Airlines will purchase of a combined 96 A320neo planes.
It marks ‘the positive recovery momentum and prosperous outlook for the Chinese aviation market’ Airbus said.
