Choice relaunches online booking service
Choice Hotels has relaunched its one-stop online bookings service for travel agents and tour operators.
The secure site, named Travel Professionals, is now available at www.choicehotels.com and replaces the former travelagentcity.com booking facility.
Choice claimed Travel Professionals offered valuable, time-saving information for travel agents and gave them a faster, more detailed return of information.
Choice Hotels International director Kevin Brett said the changes re-emphasised the company’s commitment to the trade. He said the hotel group paid out more than US$40m annually in commission to trade partners around the world.
“Ease of booking and ease of commission collection is key to a travel agent’s choice of hotel supplier,” said Brett.
“Choice Hotels has recognised the need to re-vamp its online booking facility, which we are confident will considerably boost usage and ultimately online sales from the trade.
“We have also launched a series of travel agent initiatives with key agency groups focussed on driving incremental bookings for Choice Hotels brands in North America, steering business to both our online booking facility and through global distribution systems.”
Choice Hotels represents more than 5,000 hotels open or under development in 42 countries.
