Chris Collier wins Tourism Society Award 2002
Chris Collier OBE, Chief Executive of the Cumbria Tourist Board, has won the Tourism Society Award for 2002.
The Tourism Society said the personal citation is “in recognition of her remarkable efforts on behalf of rural tourism throughout much of the country during and after the Foot and Mouth crisis. Her advocacy led to exceptional funding support being made available, both for UK and overseas tourism marketing.”
Ms Collier received her Award at the Society’s Annual Dinner, hosted by its President, Viscount Thurso MP, on November 12.
