Following a last minute change of panellists, TravelMole is offering cut price tickets of £75 for anyone wishing to register for Tuesday’s Fast Conference at the last minute – just call +44 (0)207 691 3292.

Listen to our panel of experts at the forefront of the debate on sustainable tourism, who will discuss whether mass tourism can be reinvented to curb the social, environmental and cultural damage that travel is inflicting on the world, while still ensuring a profit for the travel industry.

TravelMole is delighted to announce that Chris Thompson will be joining the panel, replacing John Gillies, who has sadly had to drop out at the last minute. Chtis is the responsible tourism co-ordinator for the Federation of Tour Operators and manager of the Travel Foundation Industry Unit, so will be a valuable addition to the debate.

Panellists:

  • Keith Richards, head of consumer affairs, ABTA (Facilitator)
  • Justin Francis, co-founder, Responsibletravel.com
  • Tom Jenkins, executive director, European Tour Operators Association
  • Sue Hurdle, director, Travel Foundation
  • Natarajan Ishwaran, chief of UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee, Natural Heritage Section
  • Chris Thompson, responsible tourism co-ordinator for the Federation of Tour Operator and manager of the Travel Foundation Industry Unit

The event is taking place at the Sheraton Park Tower in London on Tuesday 11 May from 4pm-6pm. Delegates attending the conference will also be invited to attend TravelMole’s Web Awards 2004, which received a record number of nominations this year. For more details go to the Awards webpage.
