Christmas rail chaos ahead

UK rail passengers should brace themselves for a disruptive Christmas.
Underground workers voted to strike along with drivers at London Midland and Arriva Trains Wales.
Tube workers will walk out on Boxing Day in a dispute over pay and days off, meaning those wanting to cross the capital to get to airports and Eurostar services should allow extra time for their journeys.
The London Midland dispute, which is caused by pay gaps, affects trains running from London to Liverpool and from Shrewsbury to Bedford. Drivers will walk out on December 23.
No date has been set yet for Arriva Wales walkouts, which are over perceived unfair pay.
