Ciao to fly from Luton to Parma (-Milan)
Italian start-up airline Ciao Fly has announced the introduction of a new daily scheduled service from London Luton Airport to Parma Giuseppe Verdi Airport.
The service will be inaugurated on the 1st July, and initially there be twelve flights a week. The airline said the flights will be convenient for travelling to Milan and also for reaching Pisa, Venice, Verona, Modena, Bologna and Genoa.
The airline said the service will operate on BAe 146 ‘whisper jets’ and one-way fares will start at 19,00 euros (approximately £12) plus taxes.
Simon Geere, Business Development Director at London Luton Airport said: “Milan is a very popular destination for both leisure and business travellers alike. With the commencement of these scheduled services from London Luton Airport to Italy we can now offer a viable alternative for those wishing to avoid the congestion and delays experienced at other London airports”.
Rainer Zeppritz Commercial Director of Ciao Fly said: “We are a ‘low cost airline with frills’ and customers who fly with us can expect to do so in some style when compared to our competitors.
“We chose London Luton Airport as our UK base because it most closely mirrors our own philosophy of offering customers excellent service but at an affordable price. We are also very impressed with London Luton Airport’s first class transportation links to London, the Midlands and South East of England.”
