CIMTIG seminar will tackle ‘tough times’
‘Marketing in Tough Times’ is the theme of the next Chartered Institute of Marketing Travel Industry Group (CIMTIG) seminar.
Due to take place on May 11 from 6.30pm, at the Thistle Hotel, Marble Arch, London, the event is designed to help marketers cope in current climate.
Speakers will include Simon Hargreaves, managing director of TTA and Worldchoice, Mandy Nickerson, managing director of Bales Worldwide, Professor Moira Clark, director Strategic Marketing, Henley Business School and Tom Allen, ex-managing director of Cadogan Holidays.
“After many years of continuous growth, where travel has experienced an unparalleled boom, the cold winds of recession have taken a steely grip on the spending power and confidence of the UK consumer,” said a CIMTIG spokesman.
“This will be the first time many marketers have operated in a recessionary environment for over 15 years.”
