Cirque du Soleil will open a new show in Las Vegas, R.U.N, the enterainment group’s first live action thriller, on October 24.

It will be the eighth Cirque show on The Strip, with others including O at the Bellagio Hotel, The Beatles LOVE at The Mirage, and Mystere at Treasure Island.

Premiering at Luxor Hotel & Casino, R.U.N promises to use ‘cutting-edge technology and multimedia to explore the world of stunts’.

The show follows two clans through a series of chases, combat and stunts through a fictional dark underground of Las Vegas.

Cirque president and CEO Daniel Lamarre said: "R.U.N is very different from other shows within the Cirque du Soleil portfolio. With R.U.N we will reinvent the concept of a thriller, drawing inspiration from action movies and graphic novels.

"This action-packed live performance happening in front of and around the audience will offer a new form of entertainment to a more diversified Las Vegas guest."

R.U.N is the 10th partnership between Cirque and MGM Resorts International.
