Classic British Hotels adds four properties
Four hotels have been added to the Classic British Hotels portfolio of properties in key UK locations.
Ruthin Castle in North Wales; Cadbury House in Congresbury (near Bristol Airport); Marmadukes in York and the Langdale Hotel, Cumbria take the number of properties for which Classic British is providing sales, marketing and distribution services to almost 60.
CEO Len Louis said: “We operate in a narrow quality band starting at the very top of the three-star market and above.
“The reality in many locations in the UK is that there is rarely anything above a three star hotel product. We make sure our hotels are the best quality independent hotels in their location and work with them to improve their quality further as part of Classic.
“Hotels have joined Classic as a three-star and developed their hotel to a four-star product with our guidance. We also operate as a very cohesive group and provide centralised solutions to fragmented issues so when we are dealing with TMCs and HBAs we are in a position to deliver the same sort of central purchasing power that a group would provide in negotiations.
“Our members are all exclusive to our organisation, they can’t belong to any others and we speak on their behalf.”
The 62-bed conference venue Ruthin Castle dates from 1277 and is set in 30 acres of parkland within easy reach of Chester and the motorway network.
Marmadukes Hotel is a four-star boutique hotel a short walk from the Minster and the ancient walls of the City of York.
Cadbury House Hotel & Country Club is a new 72-bedroom, four-star boutique-style hotel being built around an 18th Century House five miles from Bristol Airport, due to open in May.
The Langdale Hotel is part of the 35-acre Langdale Estate set in the Lake District.
