CLIA Australasia appoints new MD
Cruise Lines International Association has announced the promotion of Neil Linwood to managing director of CLIA Australasia.
Linwood will manage the strategy and government relations for CLIA with a focus on regulation and infrastructure.
He has served as executive director for CLIA Australasia since last year and was previously senior vice president, strategic development at Carnival Australia.
"Neil’s new role is a testament to the great work he has already done for CLIA Australasia and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him leading the team to support the rapidly growing industry in Australasia," said CLIA CEO Tom Ostebo.
The trade group also announced a new role for Brett Jardine as CLIA Australasia commercial director, who will oversee all training and liaising with travel agents.
"Neil and Brett have been an outstanding team in Australasia and we are excited by this new alignment of roles," said CLIA Australasia chairman Gavin Smith.
Neil will leverage his extensive experience to focus on our expanding needs across the region in government affairs, port development and strategy, and Brett will continue his great work in boosting our numbers and liaising with trade."
