CLIA unveils destination for River Cruise Convention
Amsterdam is to host the fourth CLIA UK & Ireland River Cruise Convention later this year.
The Convention, taking place on Sunday 16 and Monday 17 November, will give agents the chance to see at least six ships, including ships belonging to Uniworld, A-Rosa, Amadeus River Cruises, AmaWaterways and Tauck.
CLIA said last year there was 22% rise in the number of passengers choosing a river cruise, taking the total number to almost 110,000 passengers.
“The growth on Europe’s rivers has been underpinned by a significant increase in the number of new cruise ships,” it said.
“The 260 river cruise ships currently sailing the European waterways will be supplemented by a further 24 presently on order – an increase of 12%.”
