Club Med Bali back in business
BALI – Club Med Bali has marked its re-opening after extensive renovations with a special opening rate offer.
The first person pays only for six nights at Club Med Bali but stays for eight nights, while the second person only pays half price.
The opening deal is on sale from today until April 30, for travel between today and October 31, 2009.
All-inclusive packages start from $2644 (with 2nd person half price at $1804) ex Perth; $2942 first person ex Sydney and Melbourne and $2102 for the second or $2651 ($1811 2nd person) ex Brisbane; and 9 nights ex Adelaide from $2961 ($2001 2nd person).
The resort, which closed on September 1 2008, re-opened on December 19.
Extensive renovations included the reception area, main bar, which includes a terrace bar by the beach, pool sundeck, theatre lounge, and Mandara spa.
The latter offers nine single treatment rooms and five double rooms.
The new-look main restaurant offers a choice of cuisine – Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, Western and local delights – each served in a corner of its own.

A footbridge takes guests to the buffet area. Designed around this buffet area are four dining rooms – each with a different ambience – for guests to choose from.

The rooms, perfect for small groups or conference dinners, include:
The Dragon Room, which is decorated and lit by many lanterns;
The Divinity Room, where golden statues of divinities are strategically positioned behind mirrors, so they appear and disappear like magic;
The Orchid Room, which is decorated with a metal support that holds orchids and (electric) candle lighting ;
and The Umbrella Room, which features sunshades in an attractive blend of orange and saffron colours.
