Club Med famil
From Southern Australia to Eastern Malaysia – Club Med last week hosted its an agent famil to its five-star Cherating Beach resort with agents exclusive to South Australia visiting its beachside jungle resort.
The visit coincided with Club Med Cherating Beach’s Family Festival. Club Med Sales Manager for WA and SA Erin Smit said the travel agent group had the chance to witness a record number of Australian families visiting the resort.
“Club Med Lindeman Island is our flagship family resort and immensely popular as a local domestic holiday option,” said Erin, ”But this famil has given agents a chance to see first hand that Club Med’s family concept translates internationally as well, not only in predictable family destinations like Phuket, but increasingly in Malaysia as well.”
The luxurious five-star village – which first opened in 1980 as Club Med’s first Asia Pacific property – is now one of Asia’s favourite destinations and was last year presented with the award for Best Five-Star Resort at the 2005/2006 Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards.
Alongside the recently reopened and refurbished Club Med Kani in The Maldives, Cherating Beach is leading the way for the brand’s gradual upscale of resort and image in the Asia Pacific.
