Co-operative Travel agents told: sell our holidays first or face cuts
Co-operative Travel has told TravelMole it does not want to make any further comment on a story leaked on Friday that its agents have been told to sell thousands of its holidays or face cost cutting.
A spokesman for the company said it wished to say no more and that Mike Greenacre, who is reported to have sent the directive in an email, was away on holiday.
The email, leaked by a disillusioned agent, indicated that Co-operative Holidays, which was launched last year, was not selling well.
The email is said to contain the phrase “Sell Co-op Holidays now like your livelihood depends on it for that may well be the case.”
