Co-operative Travel names new e-commerce head
Neil Hardy has become head of e-commerce for Co-operative Travel and will oversee a new website going live in June.
He switches from Hays Travel where he was product and e-commerce director.
Having started his career with Midlands Co-operative, Hardy worked with Page & Moy and TUI, before joining Hays.
Besides the new website, he will be responsible for development of site technology across the group’s 10 sites, and managing affiliate partnerships, alongside search engine and e-mail marketing.
Hardy said: “2008 will be a pivotal year for The Co-operative Travel as we really start to reap the benefits of last year’s merger, and pulling together the business’ websites will play a key role in our successes moving forward.
“I am very much looking forward to the challenge of maximising our online opportunities.”
