Coffee, tea or Sir Richard?
Sir Richard Branson will finally walk down the aisle of an AirAsia jet dressed as female flight attendant to keep a promise made to AirAsia Group CEO and Team Lotus co-principal Tony Fernandes.
The pair agreed to a friendly wager on the sidelines of the 2010 Bahrain Formula One GP, when Branson said he would serve as a flight attendant on board an AirAsia jet if Fernandes’ Team Lotus finished ahead of Virgin Racing in the 2010 F1 series.
Sir Richard lost the bet and will on May 1 don the red AirAsia female flight attendant uniform and be part of the crew onboard AirAsia flight D708 from London to Kuala Lumpur.
He will strut down the aisle to offer coffee, tea or any other food or beverage to Fernandes and 250 other guests, including a few celebrities, on the 13-hour flight.
The flight, with proceeds to charity, can be booked at www.AirAsiaGo.com from April 13 until 07:00hrs (GMT +8), April 24.
A total of 160 tickets are available at GBP4,500, while flights and accommodation packages start at GBP5,200 for a single accommodation and GBP5,000 for twin sharing.
