Colfpac helps agents lure lucrative golf market
Travel agents may be missing income opportunities by not pursuing the lucrative $26 billion golf market, says Steve Fouts, director of agency development at Golfpac.
“Over 30 years of experience in the golf travel business has shown us that many travel agents shy away from the niche because they were uncomfortable with booking golf,” he said.
Golfpac is offering a new Agents Handbook to attempt to take the mystery out of golf bookings, he added.
Golfpac also offers a trained in-house staff to assist agents in golf packages.
The company’s travel representatives have visited 250 properties and over 600 golf courses they represent, according to Mr Fouts.
He expects more agents to become involved in golf bookings in the future.
