Company devises new way of traveling
Mauiva, a flight services company, claims to be” breaking the mold when it comes to tourist travel” with the first ever AirCruise, a multi-destination, sight-seeing experience where guests use private air travel and the conveniences of pre-arranged guided tours in several locales.
“The Mauiva AirCruise is transforming the American road trip,” said Lauren Volcheff, Vice President of Marketing, Travel Holdings, Inc. She added:
“Vacationers can finally access some of the world’s most famous sites and still have the time to enjoy their signature qualities. No endless hours on the road. No bad directions. No struggling with luggage or packing up the car. Millions of travelers tour the U.S. every year, but most are not aware of the significant amount of time they spend getting there, only to rush through the attractions they went on vacation to see.”
The company is unveiling two inaugural itineraries this summer — “All-American East Experience” and “Western Wonder Experience.” Stops will include such landmarks as Niagara Falls, Washington D.C., Sonoma County, Yosemite National Park and the Grand Canyon.
“Showing the true value of the AirCruise, travelers can expect to save 23 hours to 37 hours in travel time compared to a traditional road trip visiting the same destinations,” according to a press release.
On both US coasts, the AirCruise comprehensive package includes escorted group travel; all transportation via a private plane and coaches for destinations within 90 miles of each other; attractions and local tour guides; accommodations at first-class, branded hotels; daily breakfast and dinner, as well as gratuities and porters.
In 2012, the concept will be extended to include European attractions.
Vacationers looking for a less structured trip and more personal exploration can opt for the “Fly, Stay & Drive” package, including a full-size rental car (ready upon landing in each airport), accommodations and private flights.
All-American East Experience and Western Wonder Experience comprehensive fares are US$1,499 and $1,799 respectively, per person, based on double occupancy; “Fly, Stay & Drive” fares are $799 and $1,399 respectively, per person, based on double occupancy.
Mauiva is a flight service organization specializing in private and semi-private vacation experiences.
