Continental, US add ticket fees
Continental and US Airways both announced plans to charge a $5 fee for tickets purchased through its telephone reservations offices and a $10 fee for tickets purchased at airport ticket counters.
The announcements were made separately by both airlines.
The policy is in effect immediately.
Continental will waive the fees for OnePass Platinum Elite members and their traveling companions. Also exempt are military, government, bereavement or unaccompanied minor travelers.
US Airways is waiving the fees for its Dividend Miles Chairman’s Preferred members.
