Contour Airlines launching first Caribbean flights
Regional carrier Contour Airlines will start its first Caribbean flights later this month.
The airline will launch flights to Dominica from St. Thomas, USVI on September 24.
The following day, it starts flying to Dominica from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Contour will operate 30-seat Embraer regional jets on both routes.
The airline operates a fleet of Embraer and Bombardier regional aircraft.
Contour will have no competition on the USVI to Dominica route.
The Contour Airlines network is currently focused on mainland flights in the Midwest and Southeast, charter operations and essential air services.
Contour plans to utilize its interline agreements with United and American Airlines to offer connecting services beyond St. Thomas and San Juan.
