Cosmos launches its first-ever ski packages

Saturday, 15 Nov, 2012 0

Cosmos Holidays has launched its first ever ski package programme with packages initially to Germany, Austria and Switzerland on the back of new Monarch flights to Munich, Friedrichshafen and Innsbruck.

Resorts featured include UK favourites such as Zell Am See, Kaprun and Mayrhofen in Austria and lesser-known resorts such as Schlierse and Oberstdorf in Germany.

Neil Garner, Cosmos head of product, said: "By packaging the recently launched Monarch flights from key UK airports with a good selection of ski accommodation in popular ski areas, we are building an exciting new programme.

"With short transfer times from the key gateway airports into this ski region, we will offer a variety of durations from two-night stays upwards to suit individuals.  With the high volume of flights to Austria and Germany, we have put this product on sale first and it will be our core programme."

A second phase of the ski programme will launch in December with the introduction of ski holidays in popular resorts of France, Italy and Spain to take advantage of the Monarch flights to Grenoble, Venice, Verona and Barcelona.

Accommodation ranges from B&Bs to all-inclusive hotels.

A four-night package is priced from £319pp based on a departure from Manchester on December 3 at the three diamond rated JUFA Kempten to include return flights and half-board accommodation.  A seven-night stay at the three diamond Harmony Harfenwirt Hotel in Niederau costs from £565pp.

Cosmos Holidays is offering free ski carriage on return flights with a saving of up to £50 per person for bookings made before December 31 for travel until April 30 on selected routes.

A second phase of the ski programme will launch in December with the introduction of ski holidays in popular resorts of France, Italy and Spain to take advantage of the Monarch flights to Grenoble, Venice, Verona and Barcelona.

Sister company, Avro Flights has launched a range of ski flights for winter 12/13 to include Friedrichshafen, Grenoble, Innsbruck, Munich, Barcelona, Milan, Venice or Verona.

The trade-only company is offering agents the chance to win a pair of return flights to Munich on any booking made on these routes by December 15 (on departures until 20 April 2013.)  Email booking references to [email protected]  by December 20.
