Cosmos plans Montenegro charters
Cosmos claims to be the first UK operator to run charter flights to Montenegro.
The operator is to serve the airport of Tivat in the eastern European country from Gatwick and Manchester next year.
The new Monarch Airlines charter flights direct to Montenegro will start from Gatwick and Manchester on May 23 and run until October 10.
As a result, the number of properties in Montenegro has been increased from two to eight in a new Turkey, Bulgaria, & Croatia including Montenegro 2006 brochure in the resorts of Becici, Sveti Stefan and Milocer.
Prices start at £375 per person based on seven nights bed and breakfast basis at the Villa Lux in Budva. The resort of Becici offers self-catering apartment and hotel accommodation from £415 per person with hotels in the resort of Sveti Stefan leading in at £435 per person on bed and breakfast basis. The Hotel Maestral in the resort of Milocer is priced from £599 per person.
Cosmos Eastern Mediterranean Product Manager Tracy Cox said: “Following on from its success as a two centre with Croatia we are keen to introduce Montenegro as a single centre option.
“By introducing charter flights direct to Tivat we are confident the destination will enjoy significant growth and become a key player in our Eastern Mediterranean programme. It offers excellent value for money as well as fabulous beaches, beauty and culture and can’t fail to increase in popularity on the British market.”
Montenegro has been served this summer by flights to Dubrovnik, while a direct scheduled service from Heathrow to Tivat is due to be offered by JAT Airlines from next May.
