Costa Cruises goes full throttle on indulging speed freaks

Tuesday, 08 Dec, 2010 0

Costa Cruises is offering clients a trip to the new Ferrari World theme park in Abu Dhabi as part of its Middle Eastern list of excursions.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Costa has cruised in the Arabian Gulf, with Costa Luminosa and Costa Deliziosa offering seven day cruises in the region until March next year.

Cruise passengers with a need for speed can enjoy the Formula Rossa, which is claimed to be the fastest roller coaster in the world, a journey inside a V2 engine and a virtual tour around the Maranello factory where Ferraris are built.

Racing fans can also take an excursion to the prominent Yas Marina Formula One circuit.

But passengers don’t even have to leave the boat to get a racing thrill. Grand Prix driving simulators, which produce a highly realistic  sensation of being on the racing circuit, are on both the Luminosa and the Deliziosa.
