Costa suspends cruises to Greece as country locks down
Costa Cruises has suspended sailings to Greece on its ship Costa Deliziosa.
The ship, which has been operating one-week cruises calling at Trieste, Katakolon, Athens, Iraklion and Bari, will end its current cruise on 7 November in Trieste.
Costa Deliziosa will then pause operations for seven weeks, cancelling planned cruises through to 19 December.
Greece is locking down from 6am on Saturday 7 November and authorities will review the situation in the country on 30 November.
The resumption of Costa Deliziosa operations is scheduled for December 26 with an Italian itinerary, taking in Trieste, Bari, Brindisi and Catania. More destinations will be added in the coming weeks.
