Could collapsible luggage revolutionize industry?

Road Warrior Luggage, a division of Trunk & Trolley Inc., unveiled what it called its “revolutionary space-saving technology” with six foldable pieces at the Travel Goods Show in Las Vegas.

Micro Pop luggage within the M Series collection collapse to less than six inches for convenient storing. But at the same time, the company says they provide full-body structure similar to today’s conventional framed cases.

The company says the new luggage was inspired by his frequent travels and business trips, Product Designer and Creative Director Mark Nordstrom who developed this new, collapsible Micro Pop™ mechanism.

“Road Warrior will change the face of travel as we know it. Whether it is a week aboard a cruise ship or a quick weekend getaway, the inventive yet functional luggage was designed to meet all travel requirements and guidelines with ease,” the company says in a press release.

“This innovative, patent-pending technology called Micro Pop™ allows luggage to fully collapse to half its depth — half the size of traditional upright luggage – where it can be easily stored under the conventional bed frame,” said President Sammy Sitt.

Road Warrior luggage will be the first to market with this new patent-pending design, according to the company. Pieces will range from a 17” Travel Tote to a 30” Duffel Deluxe Cargo Bag. Prices start at $200.
