Countdown to new Rome tourism show
Globe 07, the new international tourism fair in Rome, open its doors on March 22-24 in the Italian capital’s new exhibition centre.
The event will cover 40,000 square metres of exhibition space and feature more than 1,000 companies from 45 countries in southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
Modelled on London’s World Travel Market and ITB in Berlin events, it aims to become the equivalent of these trade shows for the Mediterranean market, according to the organisers.
In partnership with ENIT, the Italian State Tourist Board, Globe is also hosting the Italian Art Cities Exchange, with more than 250 exhibitors showing the best that cultural tourism has to offer.
The world of work and training will be at Job@Globe, a meeting place devoted to higher education and careers in tourism. This programme will be held in the centre of Rome, at the Spazio Etoile in San Lorenzo in Lucina.
Investment@Globe will involve banks, real estate development companies and institutional development agencies. Reserved to professionals in this sector, it will be held on 23rd March 23 at the nearby Sheraton Golf Hotel.
For consumers, Globe in the City exhibition areas will be set up in piazzas around the city where tourism bodies and the Italian regions will present themselves with outdoor stands that will be open until late in the evening.
Globe is reserved to professionals in the tourism sector, and registration is online at www.globe07.com, and free of charge.
