SCOTTSDALE — Well-known travel industry veteran Richard Cranmer is stepping down as Discover the World Marketing’s Australia director.

He is being replaced by Birgit Eisbrenner, who has been working as a consultant with Cranmer on the Royal Caribbean International account.

Cranmer has been Discover the World’s director in Australia for 27 years, achieving “ a remarkable level of success”, said Jenny Adams, CEO of Discover the World Marketing. He was Discover’s first country director.

He is winding down his day-to-day involvement in the Sydney operations over the next few months and will remain as a senior adviser, working on a limited basis for a variety of clients and business matters.

“Richard has been an invaluable part of our business,” said Adams.

Eisbrenner has an extensive background in the travel industry, having worked for British Airways in Europe and in the London head office and as national sales manager in Australia.
