Crew members airlifted off ship with chemical burns
The US Coast Guard airlifted two crew members off a Celebrity Cruises ship suffering chemical burns.
They were medevaced from the Celebrity Summit near Virginia Beach, the agency said. Ship medics asked for further medical help from the Coast Guard, and a cruise ship doctor also accompanied the crew members to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
No details about the extent of the crew members’ injuries have been made public.
