Crown bets on an ace ambassador
Casino and hotel operator Crown has signed off on a two-year sponsorship agreement with the Chinese tennis star, Li Na.
In 2011, Li became the first Chinese tennis player to reach a Grand Slam final at the Australian Open, which was followed by a historic win at the 2011 French Open.
Crown said Li’s global fan base, along with massive appeal in her home country, presented Crown with an excellent opportunity to further showcase the Crown brand nationally and internationally.
Crown deputy CEO, Greg Hawkins said, “This new initiative provides Crown with significant increased exposure in Asia and is an integral part of Crown’s global marketing strategy to attract further international visitors to Australia and Crown.â€
Crown Ltd owns and operates Crown Melbourne and the Burswood Entertainment Complex in Perth.
