Cruise lines open online booking option
Online booking is being made available to UK travel agents by four partner cruise lines.
The Carnival Corporation companies marketed under the Complete Cruise Solution umbrella – Cunard, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises and Ocean Village – are to offer web bookings.
It is the first time that agents have had online booking access to P&O Cruises and Ocean Village.
Agents will be able to check prices, availability and make bookings on a real-time basis.
To make a P&O Cruises booking, agents can log on to ‘Agent E-cho’ (‘E-Cruise Holidays Online’) accessible from www.agentecho.co.uk and for Ocean Village Holidays, www.oceanvillageholidays.co.uk/agents.
All current offers and group promotions will be accessible and agents will also be able to view their commission. Agents can log on usin their existing Viewdata/Amadeus passwords.
Giles Hawke, head of sales for The Complete Cruise Solution, said: “We are constantly looking for new ways to make things quicker and easier for our travel agent partners.
“The new web booking facility on both P&O Cruises and Ocean Village cruise holidays means agents will have all the information they need to make a booking at their fingertips.”
