Cruise passenger dies in jetski collision
A cruise ship passenger has died in a jetski collision with another tourist in the Cayman Islands.
Robert Cole, 31, who was a passenger on the Carnival Conquest cruise ship, was thrown from his rented jetski after colliding with one ridden by a 15-year old boy at Seven Mile Beach.
Carnival Cruise Line spokeswoman Jennifer de la Cruz said Cole and a female companion, named as Amy Comer, had independently rented the jetski and were not on a shore excursion booked through Carnival.
The 15-year old, who was also a cruise passenger on the Carnival Paradise, suffered minor injuries which were treated at the scene.
