Cruise passengers get a slice of the Apple
Apple has hooked up with Celebrity Cruises to offer passengers access to all its latest products via a hip research and retail space called an ilounge.
Those boarding the Celebrity Eclipse in April will be able to use any of the 26 Macbook Pros at the workstations to check email, print boarding passes and surf the web. There will also be an area selling Apple’s latest must-have products and the opportunity to learn how to use the products.
Celebrity Cruise’s President and CEO Dan Hanrahan said: “Our surveys show that our guests rely heavily on the Internet for research, learning and staying in touch, so we think this new offering will be a big hit, as will the contemporary online classes offered through the ‘Discover’ series of our inspiring and enriching ‘Celebrity Life’ experiences.”
