Cruise Planners-American Express reports sales bump for 2013
Cruise purchases are up 29% in 2013 and land-based vacation overall have more than doubled at Cruise Planners-American Express Travel, the company announced to more than 500 of its home-based agents at its annual conference last week.
CEO and co-founder Michelle Fee credited "the launch of some amazing technologies such as our mobile app" and the Sea of Love LGBT Commitment Ceremony Cruise as helping make 2013 "a fantastic year."
The company announced several more new technologies for agents, including an improved online reservation system, a tool that alerts agents when perks or savings are available for their customers, and new websites geared to mobile travelers.
