CRUISE: Short breaks without sleep

Wednesday, 05 Feb, 2013 0

Hurtigruten has launched a summer short break programme with round the clock entertainment thanks to the long daylight hours.

With new flights from Gatwick to Tromso, launched by Norwegian, Hurtigruten has some five and six day itineraries including midnight kayaking trips and evening hikes.

Kathryn Beadle, managing director at Hurtigruten UK said: "Customers are only going for a short time so we want them to make the most of it! It’s possible to go kayaking or hiking at night (which is actually still daylight), allowing them to take in so much more of the country’s beauty in a 24 hour period."

"The new twice-weekly flights to Tromso with Norwegian opens up exciting opportunities for us to create new shorter voyages. For ease in selling, we have packaged our voyages with flights as we know this is what agents like."
