CLIA has announced it will hold a Cruise360 event in Europe later this year, open to travel agent members across the continent.

Taking place in Valetta, Malta, from October 28-30, the event will be the second Cruise360 to be staged in Europe, with the inaugural hosted in Copenhagen in 2017.

CLIA Cruise360 offers the opportunity for professional development through conference sessions, ship visits, networking, and seminars on the latest industry trends. Cruise360 Malta offers a panoramic view of the cruise industry by bringing together travel agents, cruise line representatives, ports & destinations and industry suppliers.

Whilst the final schedule is still being confirmed, on Monday October 28, delegates will have the chance to visit one of two ships: Holland America Line’s Koningsdam or Regent Seven Seas’ Voyager.  That evening, delegates can enjoy a gala dinner with entertainment.

On Tuesday October 29, delegates will attend a networking trade fair in the morning followed by a ship visit onboard Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Edge.

Delegates will then have the option to fly home or stay another night to visit Azamara Club Cruises’ Azamara Pursuit.  The schedule will also include the chance to explore the many attractions of Malta.

Andy Harmer, CLIA UK & Ireland director, said: "We are thrilled to announce that Cruise360 will be returning to Europe this year. CLIA understands the importance for travel agents to experience cruise destinations and new ships first hand so they can confidently sell cruise and get even more people choosing to book this type of holiday.

"Malta is a growing cruise destination and its Unesco World Heritage capital is a real gem of a city. Delegates will not only have the chance to immerse themselves in this beautiful and historic cruise port with this special Cruise360 event, they will also be able to visit up to three luxury cruise ships and hear from experts both inside and outside the industry."

CLIA will also hold a second 2019 event will be held specifically for CLIA Irish travel agents, which will include a ship visit and trade event. The Dublin Cruise Showcase will take place in Dublin on Princess Cruises’ Crown Princess on September 13.

Registration for Cruise360 and the Dublin Cruise Showcase opens on 22 May and is available to all CLIA travel agents in Europe.
