TUI UK brand CruiseDeals is to gain a high street presence in a new initiative to boost cruise awareness and sales.
The brand, which acts as a sales arm for the TUI group within the cruise industry, is established online and at a dedicated call centre.
Now the growth of the British cruise market has prompted the move into retail stores.
Specialist retail cruise lounges are being strategically positioned in some of the strongest Thomson and First Choice stores, plus in the newly rebranded Holiday Superstores around the country.
Having opened in Thomson shops in Gateshead, Aberdeen and York, the plan is to expand into more branches and Holiday Superstores over the coming months.
TUI cruise distribution general manager Karen Doyle said: “The introduction of the CruiseDeals brand into the retail shops and Superstores is to support TUI’s ever growing cruise business.
“Having visibility on the high street will enable us to grow CruiseDeals as a brand, offering customers informed and expert advice on a fantastic range of cruise holidays from all cruise lines.”
The Holiday Superstores are to become ‘Centres of Excellence’ for cruise bookings. CruiseDeals lounges will enable customers to view DVDs from cruise lines and speak to in store cruise experts.
