Cruisers getting younger and wealthier
Cruise passengers are getting younger and richer, according to a study by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).
The average age of cruisers, 49, is the youngest ever.
The average income of passengers hit six figures for the first time — $104,000.
Cruising had the highest percentage of “extremely satisfied” customers, at 45%, beating out all-inclusive resorts at 42%.
Those surveyed also thought cruising offered better value for their money, surpassing even all-inclusive resorts.
The main attraction of cruising was seen by “being pampered.”
