Cruises added to Comtec systems
Eight cruise suppliers have been introduced into Comtec’s EasySell comparative search, cost and book tool.
Royal Caribbean International, P&O Cruises, Ocean Village, Princess Cruises, Celebrity Cruises and tour operators Cosmos, Somak and Longwood Holidays are the first to join the system with others to be added.
Separately, the technology supplier is to launch a cruise search facility via its Travelink sales and management system later this year, powered by Amadeus Cruise.
The Travelink product is aimed at operators and agents aiming to integrate cruise into dynamically packaged and tailormade travel itineraries and will offer search, cost and book with 14 cruise lines.
Comtect product director Ed Whiting said: “Our customers require easy, integrated, access to all types of leisure travel services.
“Cruise has been a fast-growing sector within the UK travel industry and our new cruise modules will enable travel agents and tour operators to efficiently sell a travel product which offers an opportunity to earn a high margin on sales.”
