Cruising for leaf-peepers
Seabourn cruises this time of year attract what locals call “leaf-peepers,” or passengers who want to see the vivid red and gold colors of the fall throughout Canada and New England.
But cruise professionals point out the offerings on Seabourn’s 7-day cruises between New York and Quebec provide a variety of experiences. Some cruises are also now being offered at half-price.
The all-suite ships offer some cruise possibilities somewhat out of the ordinary such as creating an 18th century weapon under the guidance of an artisan in Nova Scotia; helping to launch and ride a hot air balloon over the St. Lawrence River; or riding in a horse-drawn carriage in Main.
One-week cruises northbound from New York to Quebec depart 26 September and 3 October. Southbound voyages depart Quebec on 26 September and 10 October.
The voyages may be combined for a 14-day trip visiting different ports from either New York or Quebec.
