Saturday, 26 Jul, 2019 0

TV presenter Jane McDonald is to front a new travel show for Channel 5 following the success of her TV series Cruising with Jane McDonald.

The new show, called Holidaying with Jane McDonald, will be reminiscent of the ITV classic Wish You Were Here? according to The Sun.

It will see McDonald testing holidays of a lifetime, with cameo appearances by celebrity guests.

The programme is due to air next year.

Speaking to The Sun, a TV source said: "It will be a return to the classic travel show format of yesteryear. Jane’s going to road-test everything each resort has to offer herself, presenting the ultimate try before you buy."

On social media yesterday, McDonald said: "I’m so excited to announce my new show ‘Holidaying with Jane McDonald’ – a classic holiday show with a modern twist! I’ll be joined by some familiar faces as I travel the world, visiting lots of fabulous destinations and trying out what each resort has to offer."
