Crystal Cruises to create three luxury cruise divisions
Crystal Cruises is creating three luxury cruise divisions complete with its own Dreamliner aircraft as part of huge growth plans.
Crystal’s president and CEO, Edie Rodriguez and chairman Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay announced ‘the most significant brand expansion in the history of luxury travel and hospitality’.
Over the next three years, the cruise line will develop a yacht division and river cruising as well as building three new ocean cruise ships and introducing its own Dreamliner.
In December this year Crystal Esprit – a 62 guest yacht – will start the new all-inclusive Crystal Yacht Cruises programme which will sail in the Seychelles, Dubai and the Adriatic Coast.
The all-suite yacht also boasts four 10-passenger zodiacs for special excursions.
Crystal River Cruises will be established in 2017 with six-star service and spacious suites while Crystal Luxury Air will also be launched, flying 60 guests in the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to destinations not reached with a nonstop service by major airlines.
Crystal Ocean Cruises will also benefit from three new ‘Crystal Exclusive Class’ cruise ships expected for delivery in late 2018.
Guests will also be able to call a Crystal ship ‘home’ with 48 Crystal Residences on the top deck with their own restaurant, reception and higher ceilings.
CEO Edie Rodriguez said: "It has been a personal mission of mine since joining Crystal to see this incredible company reach new potential – and thus, new luxury travellers – as we continue to deliver unparalleled guest experiences and superior standards of excellence."
