Crystal River Cruises appoints MD
Crystal Cruises has named Walter Littlejohn as vice president and managing director of its river cruise business.
He joins Crystal River Cruises from AmaWaterways where he was vice president. Earlier in his career, Littlejohn co-founded his own travel agency, which he ran for 14 years.
His appointment comes after the announcement of the departure of longtime Crystal executive Philip Ordever.
Littlejohn will divide his time between the cruise line’s Miami branch office and its headquarters in Amsterdam.
He will report to Crystal COO Thomas Mazloum and SVP of marketing and sales Carmen Roig.
Littlejohn will start this week, a month before the maiden voyage of the line’s first luxury river ship, Crystal Mozart, which will sail on the Danube River from Vienna.
Over the next two years, Crystal River Cruises will add six additional luxury new builds to its fleet, starting with river yachts Crystal Debussy, Crystal Mahler, Crystal Bach and Crystal Ravel in the summer of 2017.
